The eligibility criteria for the Assam State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) are as follows:
- The candidate should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant subject from a recognized university with at least 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
- The age limit for the Assam SLET exam notification is 28 years for General category candidates and 33 years for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India and should hold a domicile of Assam state.
- There is no restriction on the number of attempts for the Assam SLET exam.

The students appearing in the Assam SLET exam had to face a written examination which was conducted in two paper format that is Paper-I and Paper-II.
Assam SLET Answer Key official 2023
Both papers are conducted in offline mode. Paper-I is a general aptitude test, which consists of 50 multiple choice questions. The duration of the exam is 1 hour and it carries 100 marks. Paper-II consists of 100 MCQs based on the subject chosen by the candidate such as Anthropology, Assamese, Bengali, Chemical Science, Commerce, Economics, Education, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Life Science, Manipuri, Mathematical Science, Philosophy, Physical Science, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology, and Statistics. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and it carries 200 marks in total and there is no negative marking. The candidates had to appear both the exams in order to get recruited.
After the completion of the exam, the SLET Commission Assam has released the answer key on its official website where the candidates can check the answer key and estimate their scores. Based on the scores obtained by the candidates, the exam conducting authorities will prepare a merit list of candidates who have qualified the exam. The merit list is prepared separately for each subject and category. The merit list contains the names and roll numbers of the candidates who have qualified to be recruited.

The Assam SLET cut-off criteria are the minimum qualifying marks that a candidate needs in order to get recruited. The cut-off marks are decided by the SLET Commission Assam based on various factors such as the number of candidates appeared for the exam, difficulty level of the exam, etc. The Assam SLET cut-off marks and merit list are not released officially by the SLET Commission Assam.
