The Kolkata police constable recruitment 2023 exam will consist of 4 stages namely:
- Prelims: for 100 marks and negative marking of ¼ marks will be done for every wrong answer. A total of 100 marks MCQ based exam has to answered in a stipulated time of 1 hour.
- Physical measurement test:
- for male candidates: height- 167 CMS

Chest- 78 CMS without expansion and 83 CMS with expansion
- for female candidates: height- 152 CMS

- physical efficiency test:
- the male candidates have to run a distance of 1600 metre within 6 minutes and 30 seconds.
- The female candidates have to run a distance of 800 metre within 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Final written examination: for 85 marks and negative marking of ¼ marks will be done for every wrong answer. A total of 85 marks MCQ based exam has to answered in a stipulated time of 1 hour
- Interview round: for 15 marks, this round will be based on general awareness and suitability of the candidate for public service will be tested along with the Candidates’ ability to speak in Bengali.
- Verification of documents and medical examination.
