The UKPSC Forest Guard Exam is a competitive exam conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) for the recruitment of Forest Guards in the Forest Department of the state of Uttarakhand, India. Like every year the UKPSC board has decided to recruit eligible and qualifying candidates, after the successful conducting of exam on 9th April 2023 in various districts of Uttarakhand, the exam conducting authority will be releasing the official result on the website.

The UKPSC have released the exam notification to recruit 894 candidates as forest guards. The notification for the exam was released on 21st October 2022 and the registration procedure also began on the same date.

All the interested applicants who hold a domicile of Uttarakhand and are more than 18 years of age also must have completed his/her high secondary school education that is 10+2 with more than 55% from a recognised board in subjects namely physics, maths and at least one of these subjects- Chemistry/ Biology could apply for the exam before 11th November 2022. The admit card was made available for the candidates from 31st March 2023 and then the exam was finally conducted on 9th April 2023.

The UKPSC Forest Guard Exam consists of two stages a written test and a physical endurance test. The details of each stage are stated below:
- The written test was conducted in offline mode and consists of objective type of questions. The exam was divided into two sections General Hindi and General Knowledge, each section consisted on 50 and 100 questions respectively. Each question carried one mark, and there is no negative marking for wrong attempts. The duration of the written test is two hours.
- The next stage is the Physical Endurance Test which will be conducted to evaluate the physical fitness of candidates. Candidates whose names will be mentioned in the merit list of the written test will be called for the physical endurance test. The test will also consist of two events for evaluation a 25-kilometer walk or run to be completed within four hours, and a shot-put throw of 5.0 meters for men and 3.5 meters for women.

The final merit list will be based on the candidate’s performance in both stages of the exam and the candidates will be called for the document verification round.
The officials will be releasing the answer key for the written exam on the official portal before declaring the result of the written exam. The answer key will help the candidates to evaluate their performance in the exam and calculate their estimated score. This helps them to analyse their strengths and weaknesses and identify areas where they need to improve. The answer key will be released in pdf format on the official website; however, the release date has not been announced by the exam conducting authorities.

Then the exam conducting authorities will then release the result for the exam on the official portal, after the release of answer key for the exam. The UKPSC Forest Guard Exam result will be released in pdf format as well and will contain the names and roll numbers of the candidates who have qualified for the next stage of the exam. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the physical endurance test, which is the final stage and then a final merit list will be released by the authorities. The result is expected to be released before May however there is no official information regarding this.
